Position in Ancient Philosophy at Western (King’s)

King’s University College at Western University, London, Ontario, Canada Assistant Professor of Philosophy (Tenure-Track) to commence on July 1, 2014.

The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at King’s University College at Western University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin July 1, 2014. The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Philosophy with an A.O.S. in Ancient Philosophy and an A.O.C. in Logic or Ethics by the effected date of the appointment. A broad knowledge in the History of Philosophy would also be an asset.

Candidates must demonstrate excellence in, and commitment to, both research and teaching. The candidate’s research should focus on ancient philosophy broadly conceived. The successful candidate should have the ability to teach a broad range of courses from the introductory to advanced levels.
